Announcement of data assimilation book from Springer dedicated to Yoshi Sasaki

Dear Colleagues,

I'd like to let you know that a new book on data assimilation is published from the Springer. It is titled "Data Assimilation for Atmospheric, Oceanic and Hydrologic Applications," and is dedicated to Yoshi Sasaki. Please have a chance to see the webpage of the book at:

 http://www.springer.com/earth+sciences/meteorology/book/978-3-540-71055-4

In this book, you may find a very memorable page - a handdrawing of Sasaki portrait by John Lewis and kept by Francois Le Dimet for about 30 years! You may find many interesting new research results from leading scientists in this field.
