Goal is to compare the TCEQ (250 m. resolution) LULC categories used
for meteorological simulation and biogenic emission estimations with
the satellite-generated TFS (30 m. resolution) LULC classes; and to
improve current input data for air quality modeling;
250 meter resolution TCEQ Biogenic LULC data
was used as the
starting point. This dataset was re-categorized according to the USGS
LULC categories. Finally this dataset was rasterized and exported out
for
MM5 modeling;
30 m resolution LULC data from Texas Forest Service
was processed
through MIMS to prepare 1-km or 4-km resolved LC classes for biogenics
estimations and input for MM5 simulations;
Changes in LULC classes for the last decade, are
being used to project
the future spatial distribution of LULC classes.
